We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our data practices. 2.1 Photos (Temporary Processing Only)

• Photos are captured via camera or selected from your photo library
• Photos are transmitted via HTTPS to our backend API (ai-backend.storqlabs.com)
• Photos are processed by Google's Gemini AI API to generate mood readings
• Photos are NOT permanently stored on our servers
• Photos may be stored locally on your device as part of mood history (user-controlled)

2.2 Local Storage Only

The following data is stored locally on your device only using AsyncStorage:

• Onboarding Status: Whether you've completed the app onboarding
• Mood History: Your saved mood scan results (stored locally, you control this data)

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be absolutely clear about what we do NOT collect:

• We do NOT require user registration or accounts
• We do NOT collect names, emails, phone numbers, or personal identifiers
• We do NOT collect location data
• We do NOT access your contacts or address book
• We do NOT collect health data
• We do NOT collect financial information
• We do NOT use advertising identifiers (no ads in v1.0)
• We do NOT use analytics or tracking services (v1.0)
• We do NOT permanently store your photos on our servers
• We do NOT share data with third parties for marketing purposes

4. Photo Processing & AI Analysis

Photo Processing Flow:

1. You capture or select a photo of your pet
2. The photo is transmitted securely (HTTPS) to ai-backend.storqlabs.com
3. Our backend sends the photo to Google Gemini AI for processing
4. Google Gemini generates a mood analysis response
5. The result is returned to your device and displayed
6. The photo is NOT permanently stored on our servers

5. Third-Party Services

Pet Mood Translator uses the following third-party services:

The app is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. Their respective privacy policies apply to the download and installation process:

Future Services: We may integrate additional services in the future, including but not limited to analytics, crash reporting, or advertising. Any such changes will be reflected in an updated Privacy Policy.

6. Local Storage

Pet Mood Translator stores certain data locally on your device using AsyncStorage:

• Onboarding completion status
• Mood scan history (images and results you choose to save)

This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it (e.g., sharing a mood card via the share feature). We have no access to this locally stored data.

7. Device Permissions

Pet Mood Translator requests the following permissions:

Permission Denial: If you deny permissions, certain features may not work (e.g., you cannot take photos without camera permission), but you can still use other parts of the app.

8. Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data:

• All data transmission uses HTTPS encryption
• Photos are not permanently stored on our servers
• Local data is stored using standard device storage mechanisms

9. Data Retention & Deletion

Server-Side Data

• Photos are processed in real-time and NOT permanently stored
• We retain photos only as long as necessary for processing (typically seconds)
• No permanent server-side storage of your photos or personal data

Local Data

• Mood history is stored locally until you delete it or uninstall the app
• iCloud/Google backup behavior depends on your device settings

How to Delete Your Data

• Local data: Uninstall the app to delete all locally stored data
• Server data: No action needed - we don't permanently store your data

10. Children's Privacy

Pet Mood Translator is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at hello@storqlabs.com. Since we do not collect personal information, there is minimal risk, but we take children's privacy seriously.

11. International Users

Pet Mood Translator is available worldwide. By using the app, you acknowledge that your photos may be processed by servers located in the United States (Google Cloud / our API servers).

• GDPR (EU): Photos are processed for the legitimate purpose of providing the service you requested. Photos are not permanently stored. You have the right to not use the service.
• CCPA (California): We do not sell personal information because we do not collect personal information beyond temporary photo processing.

12. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your data:

• Access: Your mood history is stored locally on your device - you have full access
• Deletion: Delete local data by uninstalling the app
• Opt-out: Simply don't use the app
• Portability: Share mood cards using the built-in share feature

Since we don't permanently store your data on our servers, most data rights are exercised through your control of your local device data.

13. Entertainment Disclaimers

• Pet Mood Translator is a novelty entertainment app
• AI-generated mood readings are FICTIONAL and not scientifically valid
• The app does NOT actually detect real pet emotions
• Results should NOT be relied upon for any purpose
• This is NOT veterinary, medical, or behavioral advice
• Do NOT make decisions about your pet's health or care based on app results
• Always consult a qualified veterinarian for pet health concerns

14. Changes to This Policy

We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

15. Service Availability & Discontinuation

By using Pet Mood Translator, you acknowledge and agree that:

• We may discontinue the App at any time without prior notice
• We make no guarantee of continued service availability
• Features may be added, changed, or removed at our sole discretion
• We are under no obligation to maintain, update, or support the App
